Payout queue
When a token’s pool can’t pay a profit in full, the profit waits in line. The line is first come, first paid.
How the line works
- Each pool has its own queue. A profit joins it when the pool can’t pay it in full right away.
- First in, first paid. Whoever joined first is paid first.
- Partial payments. If the pool holds less than the person at the front is owed, they receive what is there now and keep their place for the rest.
- Nobody behind them is paid anything until the front of the line is paid in full.
- The queue is paid every time money comes into the pool: each loss on that token.
- The 1% win fee is taken from each part as it is paid.
- Alice, first in line, is owed
- $50.00
- Bob, second, is owed
- $20.00
- Pool pays Alice now
- $30.00 (she keeps her place for $20)
- A $25 loss comes in: $24.75 to the pool
- Alice gets $20, Bob $4.75
- Bob still waiting
- $15.25
Where to see it
Portfolio → Payout queues lists your places, what you are owed and what has been paid. Each market’s Payout queue tab shows its whole line. Entries of one account that sit next to each other in a line are shown as one row with the amounts added; they are paid in the same order either way.
Your collateral never waits in a queue: only profit does.
